CENTER FOR THE RESEARCH &
STUDY OF GENOCIDE
About Us
The Ariel University Center for the Research and Study of Genocide is an interdisciplinary forum for research with the aim to evaluate, predict, and prevent genocide. This includes exploring legal frameworks to intervene and prevent acts of genocide. The Jewish people’s Holocaust stands as the gravest genocide in the history of modern humankind. But despite the international impact of the Holocaust on the public mind, on politics, and on law, genocides continued to take place in the 20th century and still occur in the 21st century.
The center provides a platform for interdisciplinary academic research, workshops, and publications of researchers — in the fields of law and criminology, history, education, political studies, Middle Eastern Studies, communications and more. Through its international collaboration, the center contributes to academic discussion and research. It also tracks crimes of genocide committed worldwide, raising public awareness of this horrifying phenomenon.
